Professor Jose Gonzalez

Brief Biography

Dr. Engineer in Telecommunication from the Technical University of Madrid (UPM, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, 1989), where he works since 1985.

Founder partner and President of the Board of Directors of DAEDALUS - Data, Decisions and Language, S.A., a spin-off from UPM in the field of advanced information technologies: knowledge management, data and web mining and linguistic engineering.

Between 1996 and 1998, he has been President of the Technical Committee of CITAM, Center for Research in Multimedia Technologies and Applications (Centro de Investigación en Tecnologías y Aplicaciones Multimedia, A.I.E), a company started-up by UPM along with TELEFONICA, ALCATEL, PRISA and INDRA.

Researcher in the field of Intelligent Systems (approximate reasoning, multiagent systems, linguistic technology, knowledge management, machine learning, etc.), he has leaded R&D projects under national and European programs and for private companies, having published more than 40 international scientific papers.

President of the Spain Computer Chapter of the IEEE since January 2002.
